User Interface Design
Today’s products are becoming increasingly digital and very often the user interface defines a major part of the customer experience. Advances in technology are making things possible which did not even exist ten years ago; with this capability comes products that have tremendous breadth and depth in regards to how they can be used and controlled. One of the major challenges in developing these products is to design an intuitive interface that allows the user to effectively utilize the product’s depth / breadth as needed without burdening the user with an overly complex interaction.
Some methods that we use to do this:
- information architecture design
- prioritization / organization / presentation of information
- conceptual frameworks / metaphors which facilitate understanding and usage
- a visual structure / layout / flow / logical groupings of information and controls which enhance the usability of the application
- an appropriate visual “look and feel” that that is consistent with the brand and product application
